Is this what the kids are into these days? TV dinners? Really? River, a dreamy hunk from Mattel's Barbie offshoot "My Scene" line, is very fashionably dressed in styling jeans, a knit cap, some funky yellow sunglasses, and a couple of casual shirts. And to top the whole ensemble off, a completely incongruous accessory: a pair of tiny pretend Salisbury steak TV dinners. We are told by the box that River was planning a barbecue with all his hipster friends but it started to rain so they all came in and had TV dinners instead. And, you know, that's fine we suppose but it's hard to imagine that this is really the realization of any kid's fantasy life. Still, River is dreamy to look at and once he leaves the TV dinners behind (or they become absorbed into a nice big dollhouse) he'll make a fine addition to the playroom.
